Solar cadastre
In collaboration with Energiepark Réiden S.A., the municipality of Roeser has commissioned a solar cadastre for its residents. The solar cadastre provides information on the solar thermal and photovoltaic potential of buildings and private homes in the municipality.
A solar simulation is carried out on the basis of data from the 3D roof register of the building stock. The roofscape provides 4 important criteria for establishing a solar cadastre:
- Roof area;
- Roof slope;
- Roof orientation;
- Roof shading (trees, chimneys, steeples).
In the solar simulation, solar radiation over the year (W/m2 or kWh/m2) is projected onto the municipal roofscape. Dynamic influencing factors such as module type, efficiency or performance ratio are taken into account based on current conditions at the time of the survey. To determine the solar thermal potential, the hot water consumption estimated on the basis of the number of inhabitants is also taken into account in the design calculations.
For each building, the following values are determined:
- usable roof area;
- the orientation of the usable roof surface in relation to the cardinal direction;
- roof pitch;
- classification;
- average annual global radiation;
- radiation reduction due to shading effects;
- potential output of the system;
- expected yield;
- annual CO2 savings.
The solar cadastre is available at cadastre-solaire.roeser.lu/
Here, residents can easily get an initial idea of their home's potential without too much effort.
