Location
Situated between the communes of Bettembourg and Hesperange, with the neighboring town of Zoufftgen on the French border, the commune of Roeser is accessible via the Luxembourg-Dudelange freeway.
Eight kilometers separate the center of Roeser from Luxembourg City, to which the towns of the Roeserbann are linked by a convenient public transport network.
With a total surface area of 2.379 ha, it ranks 2nd in size among the 14 communes that make up the canton of Esch-sur-Alzette.

The commune of Roeser comprises 7 localities: Berchem, Bivange, Crauthem, Kockelscheuer, Livange, Peppange and Roeser.
Population
Over the past 30 years, the commune of Roeser has experienced strong demographic growth. Despite this, the Roeserbann offers its citizens a high quality of life and a healthy environment with 2.100 ha of green areas and forests.
On 1 January 2024, our municipality had a population of 6.894, including 2.784 (40.38%) non-Luxembourg residents and 4.110 (59.62%) Luxembourg residents.
